My Teaching Style

What to Expect in Class

Hands-on guidance
If you're comfortable with it, I use a hands-on approach to offer real-time feedback—helping you improve alignment, posture, and body awareness through movement.

Open check-ins
Every class begins with a quick check-in. I want to know how you're feeling, and if you have any pain or injuries, so I can tailor the session to your needs.

Modifications & challenges
I offer options to suit your body—whether that means modifications to reduce strain or variations to deepen your practice. Every class is adaptable, no matter your level.

A safe space to move
My goal is to create a space where you feel at ease. Expect energy, encouragement, and a bit of fun as we build awareness and confidence together, week by week.

Are you ready to transform your body with Pilates?

💡Fun fact :

Did you know that Pilates was originally called ‘Contrology’?

Joseph Pilates’ original system of exercises, known today as ‘Pilates’, is designed to unify the body and the mind, focusing on the breath, control and precision of the movements, and improving mobility, strength, good posture and an overall healthy functioning body.

In my classes, I teach the Classical Pilates system with a modern perspective—adapting the work to support how our bodies move and live today. My approach is rooted in functional anatomy and mindful movement, so you can experience the full benefits of Pilates in a way that feels relevant, effective, and personal.

Why Classical Pilates?

  • Pilates emphasises the correct activation of the core muscles. The limbs are strongly connected to and everything moves to and away from the centre. Working through the system of exercises, Pilates enhances stability, improves posture and body alignment. Muscle tone also increases resulting in long, lean muscles offering a stronger support to the skeleton.

  • Pilates is a low impact form of exercise working through stabilisation, precision and control to improve coordination, balance and proprioception. It is very beneficial to mobilise the joints and improve range of motion. Movement like Pilates helps keep the joints lubricated, which can lead to improved joint health and pain relief. Pilates is often indicated as a way to support rehabilitation or injury prevention, being optimal to enhance everyday activities as well as sport/athletic performance.

  • Pilates exercises are executed with control, precision, and fully connecting the movement to the breathing. The breath plays a central role in finding freedom even in the more challenging exercises. A focused, rhythmical breathing allows the muscles to stay oxygenated, and over time improve flexibility, decreasing muscle stiffness.

  • Pilates is more than just a complex system of exercises. It is a movement philosophy that combines the western approach to physical training and muscle development with the easterns beliefs of training the mind to be focused and centred. By fostering a deeper connection between the body and the mind, you will achieve mental clarity, reduce levels of stress, whilst also restoring physical vitality. The body-mind connection is essential to strengthen the body, invigorate the mind and elevate the spirit.

“You will feel better in ten sessions, look better in twenty sessions, and have a completely new body in thirty sessions.”
